Frequently asked questions:

 

Q  How do I know what size skip I need?

 

A   We provide a wide range of skips from 6 to 14 yards which in general cater for the

      vast majority of needs. Please view our sizes page to find out what skip is right for

      you.

  

Q  Is there anything I can't put into the skip?

 

A  Asbestos, fridges, freezers, batteries and tyres cannot be loaded onto the skip. If you

 

    are disposing of potentially hazardous materials please call us for advice on 0208 419 8060

 

Where will the skip be left?

 

A  In an ideal world the skip should reside on your property. If it is to be sited on a public highway a permit needs to be

    obtained from your local authority. ACE Skip hire can assist you with this if required.

 

How much can I put into the skip?

 

A  The skip must not be loaded to a level higher than the top. For detailed skip information please view our sizes page.

 

Do you provide skip for domestic and commercial use?

 

Yes, account customers are welcome.

 

How do I pay for the skip?

 

You can pay the driver on delivery by cash or cheque. Alternatively you can pay over the phone by credit card.

 

Q  How long can I have the skip for?

 

The hire price is the same, irrespective of length of hire. However if you think you'll require the skip for a period of more

     than 2 weeks please advise us at time of hire.

 

Q  The skip is to be delivered in the congestion charge zone, does this effect the price?

 

A  If the delivery address is located within the London Congestion Charging Zone, the extra charge will be added to the cost

    of the skip. If delivery and collection are on different days then both days will apply.

    The current Congestion Zone charge is £11.50 per day.

Permits

 

If you require your skip to go on the public highway, then you will need a skip permit from your local authority.

 

Each local authority has different rules, time limits and prices.

 

If your local authority is not listed then please call our office for further advice.

 

Hounslow:- Requires 3 working days to obtain permit, last 2 weeks £79.00 and £81.26 for CPZ.

£48 for 1st day then £18 per day thereafter for bay suspension. CPZ takes 10 working days to obtain.


Ealing:- Requires 5 working days to obtain, the permit will last for 2 weeks and cost £50 and £100.00 for

2 weeks if controlled parking.
 

Richmond:- Requires 3-5 working days depending on location. Permit will last for 3 weeks at a cost of £60.00.

Parking suspension will cost between £8.00 £30.00 per day. Plus a £92 admin charge.
 

Brent:- Requires 5 working days to obtain, the permit will last for 2 weeks costs £45

 

Harrow:- Requires 3 working days to obtain, the permit will last for 4 weeks and cost £51.

 

Hillingdon:- Requires 3 working days to obtain £40.00 for 2 weeks.
